At Riversong, each season of the year is special.  So as
the weather changes, we also take the opportunities to
change our decor, our outlook, our attitude about life.
Life is full of changes and we feel that by accepting that,
we can continue to improve ourselves and our most
important relationships with those we love.
For the Birds….
- by Leslie Hildebrandt

Amid the worry and scurry of my day
I happened to see two robins at play
Like clockwork, that territorial dance
Announces spring in just one glance

With this signal I’m made aware
Hints of spring are everywhere
Fuzzy buds on the aspen tree
Tiny sprouts of daylily

With childlike joy I’m glad to see
Sandhill cranes fly over me
And winter’s quiet mornings are gone
Now filled with twittering birdsong

Although more snow is on the way
Birds tell more than weathermen can say
So let it snow – I don’t care
The birds say spring is in the air!

Supporting the Arts...

Each summer Riversong Studio sponsors either a "Plein
Air" event or an "Art on a Stick" Garden Art Show and
Sale.  For the past two years, the Plein Air Paint Out has
been a great success, with regional landscape artists
gathering to paint the landscapes, picturesque river
views, and garden scenes in the small village of Fremont,
along the banks of the famous Wolf River.  After a day of
painting outdoors, all artists offer their works at an art
show and reception.

In October 2006 Riversong held an art show in
conjunction with our "Autumn Glory" open house,
featuring the photography of local artist Tim Bevers.
Spring

Spring:  We begin the year in March with our "Welcome Spring" party,
offering fresh-picked selections from market and area artisans.

Summer:  The growing season is kicked off each Mother's Day weekend with
the opening of the greenhouse and our display pergola "Amour du Jardin",
featuring gorgeous hanging baskets, herbs, bedding annuals, and
perennials.  And no garden is complete without an artistic touch of decorative
iron (trellises, benches, topiaries, baskets, etc.), concrete statuary, or cast
and ceramic urns and planters.

Fall:  Take the opportunity to cozy up your home for the colder months ahead
and enjoy the beautiful colors of the season.  Our annual "Autumn Glory"
Open House is held the first weekend of October.  Along with the exciting new
selection of home decor and gifts inside the store, outside we offer mini straw
bales, colorful hardy kale, pumpkins, gourds and corn shocks.

Winter:  Don't miss our holiday open houses beginning weekends in
November as the shop and surrounding display property is transformed into a
winter wonderland.  You're sure to find something special for your home, for
giving, or for you!
